11 May 2016 Pues... un otro capitlo

Pues... I had changes... I am no longer in Barcenas but I am now in Linda Vista... which is a different zone. But the funny thing is that this area is about 10 or 15 minutes from Barcenas in a bus. And it is still a part of the capital. Really I think that I am going to spend all of my mission here in the capital... but really it is great. My new companion is Hermana Chavez. And like Hermana Vasquez she is from Peru. Another Latina companion!!! Yes, really I love being with the Latinas they are so amazing and I love being able to learn more from them. It was so hard to leave Barcenas... it really hurt to say goodbye to everyone. In the 3 short months that I spent there I really grew to love the people and the area. And when I got the call about changes first off I did not believe it and secondly I was super sad. But I know that there are lots of people for me to help here in Linda Vista. Also fun fact... I am now companera mayor... but really we both are but it really just means that now I can use the phone outside of the house... which is realyl weird. But the same thing happened with lots of missionaries this change that both are companeros mayores because the next 2 changes in the mission about 40 missionaries are going to finsih their missions and we are going to get a lot of new missionaries. So really it is in prepration for us to become the next leaders in the mission. That should be a little interesting. But it is a good opprotunity for a lot of growth. And really that is what we need to do... keep growing. But I am going to send photos from Barceans that I took when I was saying goodbye to everyone. But I hope that you all have a great week! Les amo mucho!!! Hermana Stewart

4 May 2016

So super short this week. Everything here in the misión is going really well. We are working hard and seeing progress. I did not write yesterday because we had a big zone conference with all of the zones here in the capital. And next week I am also going to write on Wednesday because we have changes here in the misión... which I have no idea what will happen there but yeah. Hope that you all have a great week! Remember that God lives and loves you! He has a great plan for each of you in your lives! Thank you for all of your support and prayers! Les amo mucho! Hermana Stewart

26 April 2016 - The Good News of the Gospel

Buenas todos! This week was a good one. We had divisions with the Hermana Leaders and so I was not in my área for a day.. which was a little strange but also good. It really helped me to refocus and to be able to put goals for what I want to change and do better. We are really working hard here in the mission to be better every single day and follow all of the counsel that we have been given from leaders. Ever since the world mission broadcast we have been talking a ton about repentance and the importance of repentance and how it helps us and our investigators and how we can have a sincere repentance and much more. And really it was a little interesting because we were talking about this again today in our District Meeting and Elder Falcon made the comment that maybe the reason that we are focusing so much in repentance is because that is where we are failing to be obedient or to put into practice. And how true is that... really Heavenly Father wants us to repent... but he wants us to repent every single day. We cannot put it off. We need to do it today. And really that is something that sometimes is hard but it is how we are going to have more joy and more happiness. And I love that we have the chance to repent because Jesus Christ came to suffer for us. Every single one of us individually because He does not want us to have to suffer like He did. He wants us to be able to find this peace and joy. And really we have been able to see how the Gospel brings this peace and joy to our lives. The Familia Sánchez has recieved one of the biggest outpouring of blessings that I have ever seen in all of my life. Just every single day they recieve blessing after blessing. Hermano Fernando is finding more and more work and they have not been falta food in the table. And really they have been keep compromise after compromise and they just have a hunger to learn. And God has been keeping His promises with them and really has just poured down blessings and the family has been able to really recognize these things and has working hard to just keep learning. And we love them so much. Really they are such a miracle and they have been the biggest example to me. And watching the Gospel change their lives has been amazing. Really they just have an uncontainable joy now and they just glow with the light of Christ. And they want to share it with everyone. And every single day I am just so thankful to my Heavenly Father that He has given me the opprotunity to be a part of their lives and to have the opprotunity to be here in Guatemala in the mission. It is something that 2 years ago I never could have imagined myself doing and now I cannot imagine my life without having these experiences. I know with all of my heart that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. That Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love us. That Joesph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is true. And I hope that everyone of you can find this joy and happiness that comes through the knowledge of these things. If you do not know them then ask God. He will answer. He always does. Les amo mucho!!! Hermana Stewart
