20 April 2016 La Vida

Buenas todos!!! So this last week was really good... I really do not remember much that happened. But I did not write yesterday because we went to the TEMPLE for Zone P-day. It was so amazing to be able to be in the temple again. It has been a great blessing to be here in the Capital for all of my misión because I have had the opprotunity to go the temple 3 times... once with everyone of my companions. And yesterday I was just really struck by the peace of the temple. Really we could just breathe and the stress of everything we just left outside and it was just so peaceful and so nice to be there in the temple. And really this last week I have done a lot of reflecting. It was really interesting but really I have been thinking a lot about what has happened in the last few months here in the misión and what is going to happen in the next couple of months and the future and everything. And really I was just able to feel a great peace about everything. That no matter what the future brings or what happens that everything is always going to be okay. Because really I have the góspel in my life and really that just means that I know that everything always is going to be fine because Heavenly Father and Jesús Christ are with me in every step of my life and they help me with everything. And really I am so grateful for that knowledge and for all of the peace and joy that it brings to my life. And that now I have the chance to help others come to have that joy in their lives too. I hope that you all have a great week... sorry for the super short email but really I do not have much to write! Les amo mucho! Hermana Stewart

12 April 2016 La Familia Sanchez

12 April 2016 La Familia Sánchez

So as you all can see in the pictures that I sent this week we had a great miracle. But I want to explain a Little more about this family. The Familia Sánchez is a family of 6. Fernando, Cecilia, Olga, Seidy, Maria Alejandra, and Julio. Fernando was a contact in a bus. My companion. Hermana Vasquez contacted him in a bus one day and he gave her his direction and number. And a few days later we were trying to find their house but we had no idea where it was and so we called them and Hermana Vasquez talked with Cecilia for a minute and then they hung up. And so we thought that they did not want anything. But we were looking for another direction in the área so we went to find the Street that they lived in. But really we were new and we had no idea where it was. And we came to a sort of crossroads. And there was a Hermana just standing there. And Hermana Vasquez walked right by the Hermana but I felt that we needed to talk to her and ask her for help finding this Street. So I started talking to her and while I was talking to her Maria Alejandra came up to Hermana Vasquez and started talking to her. Her mom had thought that maybe we were lost so she sent her to come and find us. And so long story short we found the Familia Sancez. And really we never would have found them knocking doors... never. And so we started teaching them and they just soaked up everything. Every single word. They were so prepared. And Little by Little they started Reading the Book of Mormon, saying their prayers and coming to church. All of which built up to SaturdayOn Saturday Fernando and Cecilia were married (to obey the Law of Chastity) and right after they were married the entire family was baptized. All 6 of them. And really it was so amazing to be able to watch the Gospel change and bless the lives of a family. This family is so humble. And really it was a privilege that my Heavenly Father gave me to be able to be one of the missionaries that was able to find them. Really I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity that Heavenly Father gave me to be a part of this journey with them. And everything went off without a hitch. It was such a perfect day. And we did not really think that many members were going to come of anything but we had more then 50 people that came to their wedding and baptism. The rooms were just packed. It was just such an atmosphere of love and joy. And it made me so happy to be able to have these experiences with them. They have helped to strengthen my testimony so much. And yeah... that is a short little update on what has been happening here in my life in the misión. And really I am just so so happy. Hope that you all have a great week!
Les amo mucho!!!

Zone of Villa Nueva...still the only Hermanas...life hasn't changed much!!

5 April 2016 Buenas

So really I do not have much to write this week... not to much happened... We have been working really hard with the Familia Sánchez and they are going to be married and baptized on Saturday if they can get all of their papers and everything ready. And really we are just so excited for them. This family has been such a miracle for us and such a testimony builder. And really they have just soaked up the Gospel just wanting to learn so much more. And really we are just so excited for them. But please keep them in your prayers this week that everything can go well with all of the preparation and everything. And other then that we are just working hard and trying to be better every single day. Because we have to change in order to move forward. That is how life Works. If we do not change then we will just get left behind or we will be miserable. And so yeah we are really just trying to be better every single day. But yeah... Sorry for the super short letter this week... but really do not have much to say. Hope that you all enjoyed conference. It was so great to be able to listen and learn more but a Little strange to listen in a different language. But hope you all have a great week! Les amo mucho! Hermana Stewart

30 March 2016

Buenas! So this week we had cambios or changes here in the mission but we did not have changes. I will be here in Barcenas de Villa Nueva for 6 more weeks with Hermana Vasquez!!! And really we are excited to be able to keep working and to be able to marry and baptize the Family Sanchez. They are so special for us and we are really animated that together we are going to be able to watch them and help them make these covenants with the Lord. But really if you guys could keep them in your prayers that would be awesome. They are really passing through some trials and difficulties right now and so if ya´ll could keep them in your prayers that would be awesome. Cecilia, Fernando, Olga, Maria Alejondra, Sadie, and Julio. And really we are working with them to be married and baptized the 9 of April. Hopefully all will go well with that. This week was a bit of an interesting week here in the mission just for somethings that happened... do not worry nothing bad happened... but really I was able to come to learn more about the Atonement and to really have it become a little more personal. And really I am so grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us so that have the chance to be better and to return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Chirst agian. And really that is what we celebrated this last week with Easter. That Jesus Christ he lives. HE LIVES. And that He is walking shoulder to shoulder with us during all of our lives. Really without Him we could not do anything we would be hopeless and we could not return to live with Heavenly Father again. But really how thankful I am for the opprotunity that I have to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. To have the knowledge of the restored Gospel in my life. And really if there is someone that is reading this email that does not understand all of this our has questions about it... I encourage you to find some missionaries... ask them to share this message with you and I know that you will be able to find more peace and happiness in your life. Really Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and they love us... Never ever forget that. They will help you in every aspect of your lives. Hope that you all have a amazing week! Les amo mucho! 22 March 2016 Buenas Todos!

Do not have much to write this week or much time left. But we are working hard here in this área. We are preparing a family to be married and baptized next week. The Sánchez family... Fernando, Cecilia, Olga, Sadie, Maria Alejandra and Julio... If you guys could keep them in your prayers that would be awesome... especially Hermano Fernando that he can go to church on Sunday. Really this family is so prepared... they are Reading in the book of Mormon and everything. Really just love them so much. And this week we had divisons with the Hermana Lideres... I got to do divisions with a familiar face... Hermana Wong. It was so weird to be companions with her for another day but really I was able to learn a lot of things and just try and make goals to be better. And this next week we are going to have changes I do not think we will have changes but we will see and I will not be writing until Wednesday so dont worry! Hope you all have a great week! Les amo mucho! Hermana Stewart

15 March 2016 Una semana buena

So this week was really good... Sorry for sending a whole bunch of pictures but for once I actually have them. We went to Panajachel for Zone P-day and so we took a whole bunch of pictures. And really it was good to leave for a Little and just have a Little fun. This week was a Little of an interesting week but it was also a really good week. The work is really progressing in our área and we have a lot of really positive investigators. We saw a whole bunch of miracles this week. This last week Hermana Vasquez contacted a man in a bus. And he gave her his name and address and phone number. Well one day we went to try and find the house but we had no idea where it was so we called them and talked for a few seconds and then they hung up. So we thought okay they are not interested. But we were in the área looking for the Street to try and contact someone else and I knew that we were really close but a lot of the streets here do not have signs. And I felt the need to stop and ask a Hermana. And while I

was talking to her and asking her where this Street was a Little girl walked up to Hermana Vasquez and started talking to her. This Little girl was the daughter of the family... they figured that we had gotten lost so the parents sent their kids to come and find us. And so we were able to find this family and teach them... It is a family of 6 people and really they are amazing. Half of the family came to church on Sunday but the other half couldn't but they are just so positive and really it was such a miracle to just see how we found them. And this week we had a very unique opportunity as Hermanas we got to work in our área with our District Leader one day and the Zone Leaders another day. And really it was so cool to just see how different the Elderes are from the Hermanas and we were able to really learn a lot about how we can change and be better. And we have a couple of people that we are teaching that are getting really close to baptism... we hope that one of them Julio Cadenas will be baptized on Sunday but really we just need to be able to find him and teach him because he works and studies and almost never home. But he is not going to be studying on Saturday so we are going to finally be able to find him! And really the work is just going forth. And we are doing really well... And like I said yesterday we went to Panajachel... this is another really touristy área of Guatemala. And there is a lake there that everyone likes to say is the Waters of Mormon.
But yeah that is why you all got a whole bunch of pictures from me. The problem with the internet here is that it only lets me send 2 pictures at a time... that is why it is a ton of emails... But yeah... Hope that you enjoyed seeing a Little more of what is happening here in the misión... Sorry I have been so bad at sending pictures but that is why there are days like today right? But I hope that you all have an amazing week and that all is oh so well with you!

Les amo mucho!
